Bus-bars

This model presents two copper bus-bars. One bus-bar is straight, other is bended by 90 degrees and both are positioned in the parallel planes.

Problem Type: electrostatics.

Geometry: 3D extrusion / 3D import.

Given:
Relative permittivity of air ε = 1,
U+ = 10 kV
U- = -10 kV

Problem:
Find the electric field distribution.

Solution:
The geometry model could be constructed two ways: by 3D extrusion or using 3D import (the latter requires version QuickField 6.1).

Results:

There are no restrictions applied to the QuickField Student Edition postprocessors.
