Central HV conductor diameter 0.260"
PE Insulation diameter 0.910"

Given:
Relative permittivity of PE insulation ε = 2.3;
HV conductor potential = 35 kV.

Problem:
Determine the electric field stress distribution in the cable insulation.

Solution:
Model features symmetry, only right-top quarter is simulated.

Results:
Maximal electric field stress at the conductor surface is 8.2 kV/mm.
Electric field stress at the Insulation/Braid interface is 2.4 kV/mm.
