Dear Mark, I have calculated particle trace in the tissue for 3 different initial positions (y=0, y=5 cm, y=10 cm). The tissue-to-saline drag force ration is 1000. Please see the picture attached. In fact the particle started at (y=0) should move horizontally only. But there are magnetic flux fluctuations (numerical errors) that cause vertical drift. The particle travels the distance of 40 cm in 413 seconds. Initially the speed is 0.66 mm/sec (on March 25 I reported the speed to be of 0.50 mm/sec). Then the speed rises gradually. Near the coil the flux gradient is great and speed increases rapidly. I attach pdf-files with data for trace plots. Original Excel-files with macros are stored at http://stuff.quickfield.com/MarkArokiaraj/may2/ Time spent: 1 hour (mostly for results post-processing and composing this email)
