QuickField Analysis for Electro-Thermal Design

ActiveField allows designers of electromagnetic devices to more comprehensively model a real device or process following initial investigation using the QuickField GUI. ActiveField also allows creation of Front End Applications that can be routinely re-used to design devices of a class, for example inductors and transformers in the power electronic industry.

This Webinar presents some methods for handling non linear and temperature dependent electromagnetic properties, and cross coupling QuickField magnetic and thermal solvers along with analytical methods to more completely predict the performance of wound components. An elementary ferrite cored inductor has been selected to demonstrate the methods.
