Cause

• Tangent argument is an odd multiple of 90 for t = 30

  tan(15*t)

• Tangent argument becomes an odd multiple of 90 due to rounding errors

  tan(90 - 1e-20)

  Illegal 'tan' argument: '90'

Resolution

• Check that the value of tangent argument is never equal to an odd multiple of 90.
• If the cause is in rounding errors, try to change the order of operations to reduce their impact.
