Grid electrodes

This is a model of a fragment of the electrode system, used in the Large Underground Xenon dark matter experiment. Electrode is made from the wire grid with rectangular cells and positioned in the round grounded tank.

Problem Type: electrostatics.

Geometry: 3D extrusion.

Given:
Relative permittivity of vacuum ε = 1,
Grid electrode potential U+ = 100 kV
Ground electrode, tank potentials U = 0 kV

Problem:
Find the electric field distribution.

Solution:
Due to model symmetry only one quarter of the tank is simulated.

Results:
Electric potential distribution around electrodes. Electric field strength distribution between HV grid electrode and grounded tank.
