Electric field stress*
Electric field stress is the electric field intensity applied to an insulating material or dielectric region. It depends on applied voltage, geometry of conductors and electrodes, and dielectric properties of surrounding media.
Electric field stress is important for analysis of cable terminations, bushings, transformer insulation, connectors, electrode systems.
In QuickField, electric field stress is analysed using Electrostatics or AC Conduction.
