Net License Configuration Utility
This program allows you to specify the parameters that affect the communication between your QuickField sessions and SentinelSuperProŽ protection server on your network.
Protection Server can be either an interactive application or a Windows NT service. It runs on one of the computers of your network serving as an intermediary between the hardware protection key installed on the same computer and QuickField sessions started anywhere on the network. QuickField, at startup, locates the protection server and requests a license. Unless the server grants the license QuickField session cannot be opened. Opened QuickField sessions constantly communicate with the protection server using the available network protocols. When the session ends it releases the license and the latter becomes available to other sessions of QuickField.

Using the Net License Configuration Utility
When you start the utility for the first time it displays the main dialog filling its fields with default values. When you start it next time the dialog fields are filled with the values saved during previous runs.
After that you can do the following:
Change the values of network-related settings.
Save the new settings making them available for QuickField sessions, or cancel the change keeping the initial settings.
The utility saves the settings in Windows Registry under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Tera Analysis\QuickField\NetLicense.
The Main Dialog
There are the following dialog items:
Server timeout - use this item to specify how long will the protection server treat your inactive QuickField sessions as working. Whenever a session does not interact with its protection server for a longer time, the server might switch the license to another session of QuickFeld leaving the first session in inoperable state. However, the switching will not occur without another QuickField session requesting a license from the server.
OK - click this button to close the main dialog saving the displayed values in the registry. The saved values will be available for the next sessions of QuickField. For opened QuickField session the new value comes into effect when the session requests a new license from the protection server.
The saved values will not be available to the sessions of QuickField running on other computers as well as the sessions opened by another Windows user. Different Windows users change the settings independently of each other.
Cancel - click this button to close the main dialog without save. Previously saved settings will remain unchanged.
Detailed description of the Dialog Fields
Server Timeout
Use this value to specify how many minutes will the protection server treat your inactive QuickField sessions as working. The specified integer value must be between 1 and 43200, both included. The default value set by QuickField setup is equal to 30 minutes.
As soon as the period of inactivity of your QuickField session exceeds the specified server timeout the protection license associated with your session becomes elegible for disconnection. However, it will not be disconnected until another QuickField session requests a new license from the protection server. Moreover, having discovered that the license was disconnected due to timeout, QuickField automatically requests another license from the protection server. In cases when the server grants the requested license, QuickField continues as if there was no timeout and does not notify the end user.
