Tolerance Analysis Overview
In many cases we do not know the exact values of physical properties and exact sizes and relative positions of the model parts. In this case we may want to calculate how much does these variations affects the solution values. This can be done using Tolerance Analysis.
To do the tolerance analysis you should typically do the following:
- Choose a base problem. If you start LabelMover from QuickField, the current problem will be your base problem.
- Specify the variations of the physical and geometrical properties.
- Specify the solutions values you are interested in.
- Generate sequence of random modifications of the base problem and get the statistics for the specified values. You can also see the histograms for these values.
