Advanced Magnetics--Step-by-Step Description: Step 15
Now we'll continue with edge labels' data. We'll define the label A = 0 as a homogeneous Dirichlet boundary condition (A = 0). To define the data for edge label A = 0:
- Select its name in the Edge Labels branch and double-click it or click Properties in its context menu. The property editing dialog box appears, which allows assigning to edge label any of possible boundary conditions.
- Select the Magnetic Potential box. Zero value of predefined potential will be suggested.
- Click OK.
Next, we'll define the surface current for the edge labels Magnet Left and Magnet Right. To define the data for edge label Magnet Left:
- Double-click it or click Properties in its context menu. The property editing dialog box appears.
- Select the Tangential Field box and type 550000.
- Click OK.
- Repeat the above process, for the edge label Magnet Right (tangential field value would be -550000).
All the data needed to solve the problem is now defined.
