Magneto-Structural Coupling--Step-by-Step Description: Step 13

Help contents

Next our step is to define material properties and boundary conditions for the structural problem.

To define the data for block label Air:

  1. Double-click the Air item or click Properties in its context menu.
  2. A dialog box appears, prompting to enter material properties and loads. The block labeled Air has to be excluded from stress calculation. Since the boxes for the Young's moduli already contain word None, the all we need to do is to click OK button. Exclamation sign upon the icon in the tree indicates that blocks possessing this label do not participate in the analysis.

To define the data for block label Coil:

  1. Double-click the Coil item or click Properties in its context menu. The property editing dialog box appears.
  2. Type 1.075e11 in any one of three text boxes for Young's modulus.
  3. Type 0.33 in any one of three text boxes for Poisson's ratios.
  4. Click OK.
