Calculated physical quantities in Transient electric
The QuickField postprocessor calculates the following set of local and integral physical quantities at any given moment of time or as time-dependent graphs and tables:
Local quantities:
- Electric potential U;
- Electric field intensity vector E = –gradU
Planar case: \[ E_x = -\frac{\partial U}{\partial x}, \quad E_y = -\frac{\partial U}{\partial y} \]
Axisymmetric case: \[ E_z = -\frac{\partial U}{\partial z}, \quad E_r = -\frac{\partial U}{\partial r} \]
- Vector of active j = σ·E, and reactive jd = ∂(ε·E)/∂t current density;
- Active power (losses) density: Q = j·E.
- Electric permittivity ε(E);
- Electric conductivity σ(E).
