The Metropolian Hyperloop Design Team
The Metropolitan Hyperloop design team are a group of students from the Toronto Metropolitan University who are passionate about hyperloop and are working towards designing a fully functional hyperloop pod. In 2016, they participated in the SpaceX Hyperloop competition, winning the Subsystem Innovation Award. They have three sub-teams: Propulsion, Guidance and Navigation Control, and Structures. This year, 2024, they have participated in the Canadian Hyperloop Conference, where multiple universities from Canada and around the world have come together to share their knowledge and technological advancements.
The Propulsion sub-team is developing a Linear Induction Motor able to propel their pod. To do that, they are using QuickField to design and optimize their design by extracting the motor parameters.
