QuickField simulation example

This simulation example is prepared by Dieter Stotz as a part of the webinar Basic analysis of magnetic pickup evaluated with QuickField.

Permanent magnet produces a magnetic flux, and the oscillating ferromagnetic string affects the flux distribution. Flux variation could be detected by the coil. We do not include the coil in the model and calculate the flux directly in QuickField.

Given
Magnetized core permeability 1000, coercive force 1000 kA/m.
Steel string permeability 10000.

Task
Find the flux density in the testing point on the permanent magnet axis as a function of the steel string Y-position.

Solution
The LabelMover tool is used to automate the calculations.
