Task
Stall torque of a single-phase shaded-pole induction motor, calculated from the magnetic field and induced rotor currents at zero rotor speed.
Solution
The electrical circuit specifies how to connect the ring ends and the bars of the squirrel cage.
The shading ring is actually a rectangle. Only two of the rectangle's sides are shown in the geometry model. The front and back sides of the rectangle cannot be included in a 2D geometry model. The material conductivity is reduced to account for the resistance of these components.
Results
Maxwell torque is 21 mN*m.
