Magnetic reluctance*
Magnetic reluctance is the ratio of magnetomotive force to magnetic flux in a magnetic circuit. It depends on material permeability, length of the magnetic path, and its cross-sectional area.
Magnetic reluctance is important for analysis of transformers, inductors, magnetic cores, air gaps, magnetic circuits.
In QuickField, magnetic reluctance is analysed using DC Magnetics, AC Magnetics or Transient Magnetics.
