Field Picture in Stress Analysis
Deformed Boundary and Shape indicated by means of deformed and original rectangular grid. Use Scale to adjust the picture.
Vectors of Displacement display magnitude and direction of deformation as a family of arrows.
Tensors of stress or strain display a pair of eigenvectors reflecting the direction of principal axes, magnitudes and signs of principal stresses (blue color denotes tension, red color - compression).
Color Map displays distribution of chosen quantity.
While editing any scaling parameter, you can use Suggest to get the default value of the parameter, calculated with respect to visible part of the region.
Change Cell size to adjust the grid used to display deformed shape, vector and tensor plots.
