Magnetic flux density*
Magnetic flux density is a vector quantity that describes the strength and direction of the magnetic field at a given point in space. Magnetic flux density depends on current sources, magnetic materials, and geometry of the magnetic circuit.
Magnetic flux density is important for analysis of transformers, inductors, electric machines, magnetic sensors, shielding structures.
In QuickField, magnetic flux density is analysed using DC Magnetics, AC Magnetics or Transient Magnetics.
