Field values and pictures export
QuickField may save the field values and pictures to files.
Field values export is usually used for more detailed analysis of the simulation results using other applications, or for QuickField integration with higher level automated design system. File export of the pictures may be used for archiving results or reports preparation.
Following export options are available:
- File output of the field values in the nodes of the rectangular grid, placed over the computational area. Grid spacing may be adjusted. Resulting file of the binary or text format may be used by various applications, usually not related to FEA, for data analysis and visualization.
- Field values export in every node of the finite element mesh. Resulting file has predefined text format, which also preserves the information about the finite element mesh structure. This may be important for data transfer to applications, which take into account FEA specifics, like MATLAB® etc.
- Output of the field values distribution along the user defined contour. This option may be convenient for data exchange with simple user applications, or for data analysis in the spreadsheets like Microsoft® Excel®.
- Output of any QuickField graphical window content (geometric model, field picture, plot, electric circuit scheme) into the file of vector or raster format. In addition, graphical content may be put into the clipboard.
