What's New in QuickField 7.0

QuickField 7.0 features a brand new postprocessor. Postprocessors of QuickField 7.0 beta has limited sets of capabilities (which will be expanded in the coming official release 7.0). That's why both postprocessor 7.0 and previous version 6.6 postprocessors are available, and the user may select which one should be started. Postprocessor 6.6 we call a "legacy postprocessor".

The main feature of the new postprocessor is that it is based on a modern graphics library. Thanks to this, the hardware capabilities of the video card are fully used. QuickField 7.0 requires a video card and driver that supports OpenGL standard version 3.3. or higher.
The main differences are listed below:

Visualization of the field picture:

• Quick redrawing of the field picture;
• Scaling of the field picture by the mouse wheel;
• Panning the field picture by dragging with the left mouse button pressed, instead of scroll bars.

Field picture management:

• Turn on/off individual presentations using a button on the toolbar;
• Side panels to adjust field picture;
• The calculated integral values are visible all at once and are updated instantly when the area of integration changes.
