Eddy currents simulation with QuickField
Webinar recorded on February 25, 2021
Changing magnetic field causes the electric currents in the conductor which produce the magnetic field opposing this change. These currents form loops, and are called Eddie currents. Eddy currents affect many technical applications, in magnetic cores they may greatly increase the power losses and special measures are taken to eliminate them. In other cases, like in electromagnetic brakes or induction pumps, they are the main principle of the device operation. It is often required to analyze the Eddie current distribution and calculate their effects. QuickField is an efficient tool for this kind of analysis, and at this webinar we will explain how to do it.
