Induction motors simulation with QuickField
Webinar recorded on July 25, 2022
QuickField is not an electric motor design software. It is general purpose FEA system, applicable to a wide range of tasks. But it has all necessary tools to build a model of an induction motor.
In this webinar we will look at how to create a rotating magnetic field using boundary conditions or stator winding; we will calculate eddy currents in the rotor, temperature distribution in the stator slot, inductance of the windings. We will find the dependence of the torque on the rotation speed, and also will simulate a linear asynchronous motor.
