Transient problems modelling with QuickField
Webinar recorded on September 20, 2023
This webinar will cover how to use QuickField for transient electric, transient electromagnetic, and transient heat transfer studies.
QuickField provides a set of analysis options that are applicable to a wide range of engineering problems. They include those in which the physical field changes throughout time. Transient analysis in QuickField is accomplished using the time stepping and may be applied to any periodic or aperiodic process; unlike time-harmonic formulations (another family of analysis choices in QuickField), it does not make any assumptions about the transient conditions (processes should be time-harmonic), you may specify any complicated process using combination of time dependent formulae from vast selection.
Transient analysis is always more complicated than corresponding static analysis, it may require time integration parameters adjustment, adding a static problem for specifying initial conditions, and employing extra postprocessor visualization techniques. All of this will be covered today.
