QuickField Particle Tracer User Guide
QuickField Particle Tracer is a utility for tracing trajectories of charged particles in electric and magnetic fields calculated by QuickField.
The tracer can use:
- Electrostatic field solutions
- Magnetostatic field solutions
- Transient Electric field solutions
- Transient Magnetic field solutions
Any combination of electric and magnetic problems may be used:
- electric field only
- magnetic field only
- electric and magnetic fields together
The particle trajectory is calculated in full three-dimensional space using the Boris integration algorithm.
