Electrical Transformer simulations
Electrical transformers present class of electric machines, where the alternating current in the primary windings generate the electric current in the secondary winding. Both windings are designed such way, that the magnetic flux generated by the primary current is transferred to the secondary winding. Usually this require using the core made from the material with high magnetic permittivity.
Transformer design often requires extensive use of computer simulations. Transformer simulations may include electromagnetic simulations, thermal analysis, stress simulations. Often different physical effects and fields should be considered together, and coupled multiphysical simulations are required.
QuickField software is widely used by transformer designers and manufacturers.
